Foot Facts
Children’s feet do not stop growing and developing until they are in their late teens.
The early years are crucially important to a child’s development – as with any other part of their body.
Shoes need to be checked (and changed if required) every 2 – 3 months to ensure a good fit – length and width.
Socks/tights need to be checked especially in very young children (0-2 years). If the socks are too tight, they will stop the toes from stretching flexing and wriggling – all of which are essential for development.
